China Uncovers Apple Emloyees Selling Customers Data

''Chinese authorities uncovers an massive  underground network of apple employees  selling customers personal data.''


Chinese authorities said that they have uncovered the massive underground network of Apple workers steal data of Apple users from the database and sold it to the China Black Market according to The Wall Street Journal's report.This underground networks consists of about 22 people according to a statement of local police in southern Zhejiang province who steals apple costumers phone numbers,names,apple id's,address and other personal data and sold it in between 10 to 80 yuan($2 to $12) and total worth of ($7.36) Seven and half million dollers about 50 million yuan.
The employees in question belong to Apple suppliers and companies Apple outsources work to.

The statement did not clear that whether the data belonged to only Chinese costumers or the foreign costumers also included.

Following months of investigation the statement said,police of more than 4 provinces-Guangdond,Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Fuijan arrested the suspects,seizing their criminal tools and disassemble their online network.

The sale of personal information in china is common in China,enforce a controversial new cybersecurity law which aimed at protecting country's networks and personal data of users.

In december,an investigation by the southern metropolis daily newspaper exposed a black market for private data collected from police and government databases.

Reporters successfully obtained a treasure of material on one person -including flight history,hotel checkout and property holdings in exchange of payment 700 yuan about $100.
